Adolfo è stato trovato insieme alla sua amica cane femmina German Shepherd Astoria sul Boulevard di Marbella, entrambi con collare, entrambi non castrati. Si crede che facessero parte di un campo di zingari o di altri gruppi di persone nomadi. È stato necessario un po' di tempo per conoscere meglio Adolfo prima che potesse essere presentato bene, quando sono arrivati per la prima volta, Adolfo era molto reattivo agli altri cani in strada e anche autoritario con Astoria, quindi sono stati separati per un po', perché insieme erano ansiosi e non riuscivano a godersi il tempo nel dogpark, per correre, rotolare nell'erba, comunicare con gli umani. Adesso Adolfo è un cane totalmente diverso, e anche se ogni cane, specialmente un German Shepherd, è molto stressato e infelice in rifugio, lui è in grado di concentrarsi sugli umani, apprezzare una passeggiata intorno al rifugio, correre e annusare l'erba del dogpark, ma anche andare via con i volontari per giorni - al mare, in natura. È davvero dolce e socievole con i volontari, si adatta bene a diverse situazioni e umani, ama veramente lavorare e interagire con le persone. È anche molto comodo ad essere toccato. Adolfo, come la maggior parte dei German Shepherd, è molto intelligente, è facile e piacevole da addestrare. Ama anche le leccornie, il che rende ancora più semplice iniziare addestramento all'obbedienza, agilità, lavoro d'olfatto con lui. Adolfo e Astoria vivono nuovamente insieme, non eccitano più l'uno l'altro e si divertono molto a correre insieme nel dogpark. Sono disponibili per adozione insieme o separatamente. Quando un amante del German Shepherd cerca una coppia che trascorra molto tempo fuori, in cortile, in fattoria ecc., adottarli insieme sarebbe meraviglioso. Quando cerchi un German Shepherd che si focalizzi su di te, un cane per escursioni, addestramento al ricercatore, sessioni di obbedienza, ti consigliamo di adottarli singolarmente, perché ciascuno da solo è molto più in grado di concentrarsi sull'umano, e i livelli di energia sono anche più bassi. Adolfo sarebbe felice di essere un solo cane in una casa, o adottato insieme ad Astoria, o entrare in una casa con una donna già presente e sociale e sicura. Tuttavia non sopporta altri maschi con una presenza dominante, e al momento preferirebbe non vivere in aree affollate di altri cani, finché non venga fornito un buon addestramento sociale con i cani. Adolfo viaggia bene in auto e cammina bene al guinzaglio durante la sua giornata fuori dal rifugio, camminando rilassato e sicuro. Lontano dal rifugio, era principalmente neutrale rispetto a cani di taglia media/più grandi, ma non apprezzava i cani piccoli e chiassosi. Adolfo non ha problemi con biciclette, automobili, monopattini e è rispettoso verso le persone che passano. Abbiamo notato una cosa particolare - ha paura degli uomini con bastone... hmmm.... Adolfo ama lavorare con il suo umano, ama imparare e mettere a frutto la sua intelligenza e potenziale fisico. Fortunatamente per lui, ha una schiena abbastanza dritta e non soffre di bacino deformato o abbassato, come fanno molti German Shepherd. Sembra essere un ragazzo sano e capace, e ora è davvero pronto per la sua casa per sempre! La sua altezza al garrese è circa 65 cm.

Adolfo was found together with her female German Shephard friend Astoria on the Boulevard of Marbella, both of them wearing collars, both uncastrated. It is believed that they belonged to a gypsy camp, or other types of travelling groups of people. It took us a while to learn more about Adolfo before he could well be presented, when they first arrived, Adolfo was quite reactive to other dogs on the street, and also bossying Astoria around, so they were separated for a while, because together they were anxious and not able to enjoy time in the dogpark, to run, roll in the grass, communicate with humans. By now Adolfo is a totally different dog, and even though every dog, especially German Shephard is very stressed and unhappy in the shelter, then he is well able to concentrate on the human, enjoy a walk around the shelter, run and sniff in the grass of the dogparks, but also to go for days out with volunteers - to the beach, to the nature. He is really sweet and social with the volunteers, and adapts well to different situations and humans, he really enjoys working and engaging with people. He also is very comfortable about being touched. Adolfo, like most German Shephards, is very intelligent, he is easy and pleasant to work with. He also loves snacks, so that makes it even easier to starting training obedience, agility, nosework with him. Adolfo & Astoria are now living together again, they are not hyping each other up anymore, and really enjoy running in the dogpark together. They are available for adoption together, but also separately. When a German Shephard lover is looking for a duo that will spend a lot of time outside, in the yard, on the farm etc, then adopting them together would be wonderful. When you are looking for a Shephard that will focus on you, a dog for joining on hikes, search training, obedience sessions, then we would recommend to adopt them individually, as each on their own is much better able to concentrate on the human, and the energy levels also lower. Adolfo would be very happy to be a single dog of a home, or to be adopted together with Astoria, or join a home with a social confident female already waiting. He however does not like other males with a dominant presence, and he would at the moment prefer not to live in areas crowded with other dogs, until good canine socialisation training is provided for him. Adolfo travels well in the car and walks well on the leash during his day out of the shelter, walking relaxed and confidently. Away from the shelter, he was mostly neutral about medium/bigger size dogs, but he did not enjoy little yappy dogs. Adolfo does not mind bicycles, cars, scooters and is respectful about humans passing by. We just noticed one particular thing - he is afraid of men with walking sticks... hmmm.... Adolfo loves to work with his human, he loves to learn and put his intelligence and physical potential to work. Fortunately for him, he has quite a straight back and does not suffer from lowered deformed hips, like many German Shephards do. He seems to be a healthy, capable boy, and he is really now ready for his forever home! His shoulder height is approximately 65cm.
