Adolfo fue encontrado junto con su amiga perra de raza Pastor Alemán Astoria en el Boulevard de Marbella, ambos llevaban collares y estaban sin castrar. Se cree que pertenecían a una campamento gitano o a otros tipos de grupos de personas nómadas. Tomó un tiempo aprender más sobre Adolfo antes de presentarlo adecuadamente, cuando llegaron por primera vez, Adolfo era muy reactivo hacia otros perros en la calle y también dominaba a Astoria, por lo tanto, los separaron durante un tiempo, porque juntos estaban ansiosos y no podían disfrutar del parque canino, correr, rodar en la hierba, comunicarse con humanos. Ahora Adolfo es un perro totalmente diferente, y aunque todos los perros, especialmente los Pastores Alemanes, están muy estresados e infelices en el refugio, él es capaz de concentrarse bien en el humano, disfrutar de un paseo alrededor del refugio, correr y olfatear la hierba del parque canino, pero también puede salir varios días con voluntarios - a la playa, a la naturaleza. Es muy dulce y social con los voluntarios, y se adapta bien a diferentes situaciones y humanos, realmente disfruta trabajar y relacionarse con la gente. También está muy cómodo al ser tocado. Adolfo, como la mayoría de los Pastores Alemanes, es muy inteligente, es fácil y agradable trabajar con él. También le encantan las galletas, lo que hace que sea aún más fácil comenzar el entrenamiento de obediencia, agilidad y trabajo de nariz. Adolfo y Astoria ahora viven juntos nuevamente, ya no se estimulan mutuamente, y disfrutan correr juntos en el parque canino. Están disponibles para adopción juntos, pero también por separado. Cuando un amante del Pastor Alemán busca un dúo que pasa mucho tiempo afuera, en el jardín, en la granja, etc., adoptarlos juntos sería maravilloso. Cuando buscas un Pastor Alemán que se centre en ti, un perro para acompañarte en excursiones, entrenamiento de búsqueda, sesiones de obediencia, te recomendamos adoptarlos individualmente, ya que cada uno por sí mismo es mucho mejor capaz de concentrarse en el humano, y los niveles de energía también son menores. Adolfo estaría muy feliz siendo un solo perro en una casa, o siendo adoptado junto con Astoria, o unirse a una casa con una hembra social y segura esperando. Sin embargo, no le gusta otros machos con presencia dominante, y en este momento prefiere no vivir en áreas con muchos otros perros, hasta que se le proporcione una buena formación de socialización canina. Adolfo viaja bien en el auto y camina bien en la correa durante su día fuera del refugio, caminando relajado y confiado. Lejos del refugio, generalmente era neutral con perros de tamaño medio/grande, pero no le gustaban los perros pequeños que ladraban. Adolfo no molesta a bicicletas, coches, patinetes y es respetuoso con los humanos que pasan. Acabamos de notar una cosa particular: tiene miedo a los hombres con bastones... hmmm.... Adolfo ama trabajar con su humano, ama aprender y poner en práctica su inteligencia y potencial físico. Afortunadamente para él, tiene una espalda bastante recta y no padece caderas deformadas o afectadas, como muchos Pastores Alemanes. Parece un chico saludable y capaz, y ahora realmente está listo para su hogar para siempre. Su altura en el hombro es aproximadamente 65 cm.

Adolfo was found together with her female German Shephard friend Astoria on the Boulevard of Marbella, both of them wearing collars, both uncastrated. It is believed that they belonged to a gypsy camp, or other types of travelling groups of people. It took us a while to learn more about Adolfo before he could well be presented, when they first arrived, Adolfo was quite reactive to other dogs on the street, and also bossying Astoria around, so they were separated for a while, because together they were anxious and not able to enjoy time in the dogpark, to run, roll in the grass, communicate with humans. By now Adolfo is a totally different dog, and even though every dog, especially German Shephard is very stressed and unhappy in the shelter, then he is well able to concentrate on the human, enjoy a walk around the shelter, run and sniff in the grass of the dogparks, but also to go for days out with volunteers - to the beach, to the nature. He is really sweet and social with the volunteers, and adapts well to different situations and humans, he really enjoys working and engaging with people. He also is very comfortable about being touched. Adolfo, like most German Shephards, is very intelligent, he is easy and pleasant to work with. He also loves snacks, so that makes it even easier to starting training obedience, agility, nosework with him. Adolfo & Astoria are now living together again, they are not hyping each other up anymore, and really enjoy running in the dogpark together. They are available for adoption together, but also separately. When a German Shephard lover is looking for a duo that will spend a lot of time outside, in the yard, on the farm etc, then adopting them together would be wonderful. When you are looking for a Shephard that will focus on you, a dog for joining on hikes, search training, obedience sessions, then we would recommend to adopt them individually, as each on their own is much better able to concentrate on the human, and the energy levels also lower. Adolfo would be very happy to be a single dog of a home, or to be adopted together with Astoria, or join a home with a social confident female already waiting. He however does not like other males with a dominant presence, and he would at the moment prefer not to live in areas crowded with other dogs, until good canine socialisation training is provided for him. Adolfo travels well in the car and walks well on the leash during his day out of the shelter, walking relaxed and confidently. Away from the shelter, he was mostly neutral about medium/bigger size dogs, but he did not enjoy little yappy dogs. Adolfo does not mind bicycles, cars, scooters and is respectful about humans passing by. We just noticed one particular thing - he is afraid of men with walking sticks... hmmm.... Adolfo loves to work with his human, he loves to learn and put his intelligence and physical potential to work. Fortunately for him, he has quite a straight back and does not suffer from lowered deformed hips, like many German Shephards do. He seems to be a healthy, capable boy, and he is really now ready for his forever home! His shoulder height is approximately 65cm.
