Cu barba lui albăstruie a fost un nume mai potrivit decât Gandalf pentru acest căluț învățat. După ce a venit la noi de pe insula La Palma are o poveste lungă de spus. A venit la noi în principal din cauza climatului nostru uscat și vântos, care este excelent pentru căluiți care suferă adesea mult de mușciuni în părțile "mai verzi și mai umede" ale insulelor. Când a venit Gandalf, picioarele lui erau deschise și rănite, în mare durere. Dar în câteva zile au început să se vindece și să îi permită caracterului puternic și iscros al său să strălucească. Gandalf este cu adevărat cel mai bun nume, deoarece acest căluț este cu adevărat un vrăjitor, poate scăpa din orice!

With his beautiful grey beard there was no more suited name than Gandalf for this wise old donkey. After coming to us from the island of La Palma he has a long story to tell. He came to us mainly for our dry and windy climate which is great for the donkeys which often suffer a lot from flies in the “greener wetter” parts of the islands. When Gandalf arrived his legs were open and wounded, in lots of pain. But within days they started to heal and allow his strong cheeky character to shine through. Gandalf is really the best name as this donkey really is a wizard, he can escape from anything!
