Avec sa belle barbe grise, il n'y avait pas de nom plus adapté que Gandalf pour ce vieil âne sage. Après être venu chez nous de l'île de La Palma, il a une longue histoire à raconter. Il est venu chez nous principalement pour notre climat sec et venteux qui est idéal pour les ânes qui souffrent souvent beaucoup de moustiques dans les parties "plus vertes et plus humides" des îles. Lorsque Gandalf est arrivé, ses jambes étaient écartées et blessées, il était très en douleur. Mais en quelques jours, elles ont commencé à guérir et ont laissé son caractère fort et espiègle ressortir. Gandalf est vraiment le meilleur nom car cet âne est vraiment un magicien, il peut s'échapper de n'importe quoi !

With his beautiful grey beard there was no more suited name than Gandalf for this wise old donkey. After coming to us from the island of La Palma he has a long story to tell. He came to us mainly for our dry and windy climate which is great for the donkeys which often suffer a lot from flies in the “greener wetter” parts of the islands. When Gandalf arrived his legs were open and wounded, in lots of pain. But within days they started to heal and allow his strong cheeky character to shine through. Gandalf is really the best name as this donkey really is a wizard, he can escape from anything!
