Träffa HAALAND Haaland räddades från ett hotell i Agios Prokopios efter att vi fått ett meddelande från en norsk turist. Han hade en svårt infekterad, svullen fot och fick en tre veckor lång antibiotikakur. Allt detta skedde under VM 2026, och därav namnet Haaland, som passar honom perfekt eftersom han var full av energi och extremt skicklig på att hitta sätt att rymma från sin bur! Under hans behandling märkte vi att han drack mycket vatten och kissade enorma mängder, så vi bokade en veterinärtid och fick veta att han har njursjukdom. Om han inte får speciell njurdiet och mediciner kommer hans hälsa långsamt att försämras och han kommer att dö, så det är inte möjligt att släppa ut honom. Sedan denna diagnos har vi också behandlat honom mot giardia, och när han är klar med sina läkemedel hoppas vi kunna flytta honom till utomhushägnaderna. Han är en så vänlig pojke med en mycket charmig personlighet, och alla blir förälskade i honom. Han mår bättre eftersom han alltid tar sin medicin och är mycket väluppfostrad. Meet HAALAND Haaland was rescued from a hotel in Agios Prokopios after we received a message from a Norwegian tourist. He had a badly infected, swollen foot and was prescribed 3 weeks of antibiotics. This all happened during the World Cup 2026 hence the name Haaland which suits him to a T as he was full of energy and extremely skilled at finding ways to escape his cage! During his therapy we noticed he was drinking a lot of water and peeing a huge amount so we scheduled a vet visit and discovered that he has kidney disease. This is something that if he doesn’t have special renal food and medicines his health will slowly deteriorate and he will die so it is not possible to release him. Since this diagnosis we have also been treating him for Giardia and when he is finished his medications we hope he can be moved to the outside enclosures. He is such a friendly boy with a very charming character everyone falls in love with him. He is improving because he always takes his medicine and is very well behaved.
