Tenía una pata muy infectada e hinchada, y le recetaron 3 semanas de antibióticos. Todo esto ocurrió durante el Mundial 2026, de ahí el nombre Haaland, que le queda perfecto, ya que estaba lleno de energía y era extremadamente hábil para encontrar la manera de escaparse de su jaula. Durante su tratamiento notamos que bebía mucha agua y orinaba muchísimo, así que programamos una visita al veterinario y descubrimos que tiene enfermedad renal. Si no recibe comida renal especial y medicamentos, su salud se deteriorará poco a poco y morirá, por lo que no es posible liberarlo. Desde este diagnóstico también lo estamos tratando por giardiasis, y cuando termine sus medicamentos esperamos poder trasladarlo a los recintos exteriores. Es un chico muy amistoso con un carácter encantador; todo el mundo se enamora de él. Está mejorando porque siempre toma su medicina y se comporta muy bien. Meet HAALAND Haaland was rescued from a hotel in Agios Prokopios after we received a message from a Norwegian tourist. He had a badly infected, swollen foot and was prescribed 3 weeks of antibiotics. This all happened during the World Cup 2026 hence the name Haaland which suits him to a T as he was full of energy and extremely skilled at finding ways to escape his cage! During his therapy we noticed he was drinking a lot of water and peeing a huge amount so we scheduled a vet visit and discovered that he has kidney disease. This is something that if he doesn’t have special renal food and medicines his health will slowly deteriorate and he will die so it is not possible to release him. Since this diagnosis we have also been treating him for Giardia and when he is finished his medications we hope he can be moved to the outside enclosures. He is such a friendly boy with a very charming character everyone falls in love with him. He is improving because he always takes his medicine and is very well behaved.
