Bakgrund: Här är Shreddie (brun) och Weetabix (beige), två bundna, manliga gerbillar. De kom till Raystede eftersom deras tidigare ägare inte hade tillräckligt med tid. De är skymtiga men bygger upp säkerhet kring människor och blir mycket nyfikna, särskilt vid mattid! De är rastlösa och snabba men tål hantering i korta perioder. Idealisk hemmiljö: Shreddie och Weetabix föredrar ett stilla hem där man har erfarenhet av gerbillar. Barn: Måste bara hanteras av erfarna vuxna/äldre tonårspersoner eftersom Weetabix ibland kan vara lite knabbig. De kan leva med lugna, äldre barn/tonårspersoner. Andra djur: Måste hållas separata från andra djur i hemmet. Shreddie och Weetabix söker hem som par. Ytterligare behov: Weetabix kom med en liten svullnad på ögonlocket som vi har försökt behandla utan större förändring. Background: Meet Zebedee, a single, entire boar. Zebedee came to Raystede as he sadly lost his companion and his owners were moving abroad. He can be a little shy and timid but can always be easily bribed with tasty veg! We are sure that with the love and patience he deserves, he will find his confidence as he is already starting to venture out more and become exicted about veg! Home wanted: He is looking for companionship with another calm boar to bond with as we will not be neuetrtering him due to his age. A pair will require a minimum enclosure of at least 10.5 square feet of unbroken space on one level. They must have plenty of unrestricted hay and a variety of enrichment. He would like to be homed indoors all year around with supervised access to a suitable run on warmer summer days. He is looking for a calm home willing to provide the time and patience he needs to come out of his shell. Children: Zebedee would prefer to go to a home with adults/older teens. He can be a little nervous at times so must not be surrounded by loud noises and should only be handled by the adults in the home. Other animals: Will need to be kept separate from other pets in the home. Additional needs: Boys need regular maintenance of their grease glands and checking for impaction.
