Contesto: Incontrate Shreddie (marrone) e Weetabix (crema), due gerbilli maschi legati. Sono arrivati a Raystede perché i precedenti proprietari non avevano abbastanza tempo. Sono caratteri timidi ma stanno lentamente acquisendo fiducia verso le persone e diventando molto curiosi, soprattutto al momento dei pasti! Sono agitati e veloci ma tollerano il contatto per brevi periodi. Casa ideale: Shreddie e Weetabix preferirebbero una casa tranquilla con esperienza con i gerbilli. Bambini: Devono essere manipolati solo da adulti esperti/più grandi in quanto Weetabix può essere un po' mordicchiatore. Possono vivere con bambini calmi e più grandi. Altri animali: Devono essere tenuti separati da qualsiasi altro animale in casa. Shreddie e Weetabix cercano una casa come coppia. Bisogni aggiuntivi: Weetabix ha un piccolo rigonfiamento sul suo palpebro che abbiamo provato a trattare con poco cambiamento. Il rigonfiamento non lo disturba e necessiterà di monitoraggio continuo nella sua nuova casa. Per favore chiedete al team Smalls ulteriori informazioni. Background: Meet Zebedee, a single, entire boar. Zebedee came to Raystede as he sadly lost his companion and his owners were moving abroad. He can be a little shy and timid but can always be easily bribed with tasty veg! We are sure that with the love and patience he deserves, he will find his confidence as he is already starting to venture out more and become exicted about veg! Home wanted: He is looking for companionship with another calm boar to bond with as we will not be neuetrtering him due to his age. A pair will require a minimum enclosure of at least 10.5 square feet of unbroken space on one level. They must have plenty of unrestricted hay and a variety of enrichment. He would like to be homed indoors all year around with supervised access to a suitable run on warmer summer days. He is looking for a calm home willing to provide the time and patience he needs to come out of his shell. Children: Zebedee would prefer to go to a home with adults/older teens. He can be a little nervous at times so must not be surrounded by loud noises and should only be handled by the adults in the home. Other animals: Will need to be kept separate from other pets in the home. Additional needs: Boys need regular maintenance of their grease glands and checking for impaction. Looking for a dedicated and committed forever home, ready to give him lots of attention and fuss.
