Adopt 7444

Male · Adult · 8 years

AGE: 8 years (*8.2.2018) Weight: 18 kg Ben was adopted from our shelter in 2018 and spent several beautiful years in a loving home. Unfortunately, fate had other plans - his owner passed away and Ben ended up back with us again. The loss of the beloved person was evident. The first days he spent hidden, sad, not wanting to go out and refusing contact, sadness radiated from him. Thanks to a calm and loving approach, he slowly started to recover with us. Now, on walks, he appears as a cheerful companion who can enjoy moments outside again. Ben, however, needs time. He is a dog that must thoroughly "read" a person. At first, he is mistrustful, but once he likes someone and establishes a relationship, he becomes the biggest joker. In short - when he gives you his trust, you get a dog that will love you with all his heart. Ideally, the new owner should have the opportunity to come to Ben's shelter at least twice, get to know him slowly and let everything flow naturally. In the new home, it is important to give him space - do not take his bowl immediately, do not interfere with his bed or toys. Let him get used to it and he will come on his own. If a person is too quick with him, he may react - he is not an aggressor, just a dog carrying his wounds on his soul. Ben has completely mastered hygiene. He mostly ignores other dogs, so we believe he can be with other dogs, of course, individual tolerance will be tested separately. Children - only older and sensible ones who know that a dog needs peace and will not disturb his personal space. Ben has a broken heart and we believe that somewhere out there is a person who can help him put it back together. If Ben has caught your attention and you want to offer him a home, please fill out the questionnaire - and we will contact you later.

Nechat ho, ať si zvykne a sám přijde. Pokud se vás Beník zaujal a chcete mu nabídnout domov, vyplňte prosím dotazník – a my vás budeme zpětně kontaktovat.

About 7444

What life with 7444 looks like

7444 is a medium-sized adult dog waiting at Útulek Dogsy in Czech Republic.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇨🇿Adopting from Czech Republic

Czech shelters (útulky) include sterilization, vaccinations, and microchip ID. The adopter signs a written contract (smlouva) — the shelter may follow up to verify wellbeing.

Frequently asked

Adopting 7444, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about 7444?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Útulek Dogsy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw 7444 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt 7444 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Útulek Dogsy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is 7444 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if 7444 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Útulek Dogsy early rather than rehoming privately; they know 7444 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (CS). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
