Arrival at the shelter following an abandonment due to an unwanted litter. Abricot is a young, sociable, curious, and dynamic hamster. She loves exploring her environment and shows a great appetite during care sessions. Hamsters are solitary animals: they must live alone in their habitat to avoid stress and conflicts. Like all hamsters, she has essential needs to be happy: a spacious living area (a large cage, not a small “box”), deep bedding for digging and making tunnels, an appropriate wheel for her size to exercise, hiding places and enrichments to explore, appropriate and varied food, and calm and patience to build trust. A sensitive animal that needs space, respect for her rhythm (more nocturnal), and a safe environment.

Arrivée au refuge suite à un abandon lié à une portée non désirée. Abricot est une jeune hamster sociable, curieuse et dynamique. Elle aime explorer son environnement et se montre très gourmande lors des moments de soin. Le hamster est un animal solitaire : il doit vivre seul dans son habitat pour éviter le stress et les conflits. Comme tous les hamsters, elle a des besoins essentiels à respecter pour être heureuse :un grand espace de vie (cage spacieuse, pas de petite “boîte”)une litière profonde pour creuser et faire ses galeries. une roue adaptée à sa taille pour se dépenser. des cachettes et enrichissements pour explorer. une alimentation adaptée et variée. du calme et de la patience pour créer la confiance. animal sensible qui a besoin d’espace, de respect de son rythme (plutôt nocturne) et d’un environnement sécurisant.
