Adah

Mixed Breed Β· Unknown Β· Adult Β· 7 years

Beautiful Adah has been back with us a few months after her second home fell through. Adah really does need a very special home but we are determined to find it! She is 7 years old, vacs and chipped and will be spayed. Adah is a really lovely girl with us and has a great relationship with everyone at the kennels but in a home she can be aggressive with strangers and needs to be either muzzled or shut away from any visitors. She also gets quite stressed when left during the day so needs someone who will be around most of the time. She loves to play and enjoys running around our secure field. She would love a good sized secure garden with 6ft plus fencing as she is very athletic and can scale a fence very easily. Adah needs to be the only pet and people who are willing to give her the time she needs to settle and bond. She hates being in her kennel so we really hope that special someone is out there for her and she can get her happy ending. If you are interested in meeting Adah please read through our adoption criteria in the link in the ADOPT section and message us with as much information as possible. We are currently running on appointments only.

About Adah

What life with Adah looks like

Adah is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at BARK (Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels) in United Kingdom.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" β€” quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures β€” to let them settle.

πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adah, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adah?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. BARK (Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels) handles screening and the adoption contract directly β€” TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adah on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adah if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad β€” BARK (Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels) will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Adah already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported β€” ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adah isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work β€” that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with BARK (Babworth Animal Rescue Kennels) early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adah and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect β€” names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
