Adaś

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 1 year

Adaś was found in Zalasewo. Someone had taken care of him before - he had signs of neutering, and his tail was treated. And very likely that’s why he lives today as if he wanted to make up for everything at once. This little puffball of fur. Adaś is everywhere. He jumps in, checks out, runs, knocks something over, and still gives you a look: “So what?” This cat knows no fear and seems the type who would find his way in any situation. New place? No problem. New people? Even better. As long as something is happening. He doesn’t walk. He glides. Adaś is always ready for action. Play, climbing, chasing, hunting imaginary creatures at 3 AM - that’s definitely his scene. But he’s also content for a moment to be petted. For a moment. But then he’ll remember he still has a thousand important cat tasks to attend to. This cat is one you won’t get bored of. This cat will have you sitting with your mouth open and wondering: “How did he do that?”

PL·Show original

To mała trąba powietrzna w futrze. Nowe miejsce? Spoko. Nowi ludzie? Jeszcze lepiej. Byle coś się działo. On nie chodzi.

About Adaś

What life with Adaś looks like

Adaś is a small young adult mixed breed cat waiting at Schronisko Skałowo in Poland.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇵🇱Adopting from Poland

Polish shelters maintain established transport routes to Germany, Netherlands, Austria, and Sweden. Animals leave sterilized and chipped. Adoption fees are typically lower than in Western Europe (often €50–€150) but adopters cover transport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adaś, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adaś?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Schronisko Skałowo handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adaś on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adaś if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Schronisko Skałowo will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adaś already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adaś isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Schronisko Skałowo early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adaś and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (PL). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
