Adopt Adel (Адель)

Dachshund · Female · Young · 2 years

ADELKA, ADELS, ADOTCHKA 🐾 About one and a half years ago, she, still just born, was left at the animal shelter «Snizhok». The owner of the animal shelter is now on military service, and the man would not have been able to cope alone — besides the animal shelter, he also works. Therefore, little Adelka came to me. I carried her under my coat, fed her every two hours, gave her a massage... And here — from such a small ball of fluff grew a real miracle. Coat is like a pit bull, body and character like a dachshund, and her ears... it's another story 😊 Adelka needs a lot of attention. She needs a home and her own person. ✔ Veterinary passport ✔ All vaccinations ✔ Spayed ❗ Not for a kennel. She can walk in an enclosed yard, but... she sleeps on the couch, and sometimes she can climb onto the sofa. 🚫 She is not a guard dog — not at all. 💛 But she is a friend, companion, and a source of joy. Take this child into a family — with her you will definitely not be sad. 📞 Call:

About Adel (Адель)

What life with Adel (Адель) looks like

Adel (Адель) is a small young adult dachshund dog waiting at Happy Paw Mykolaiv Oblast in Ukraine.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adel (Адель), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adel (Адель)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Happy Paw Mykolaiv Oblast handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adel (Адель) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adel (Адель) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Happy Paw Mykolaiv Oblast will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adel (Адель) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adel (Адель) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Happy Paw Mykolaiv Oblast early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adel (Адель) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (UK). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
