Adopt Reggie

Mixed Breed · Male · Young · 2 years

Meet Reggie, our lovable Bull Lurcher with a heart as big as his smile! This handsome lad is full of enthusiasm and brings joy wherever he goes. Reggie adores meeting new people and is always eager to make new friends, especially if there are a few tasty treats involved! Clever and keen to learn, he loves picking up new tricks and would make a fantastic training buddy. When it comes to playtime, Reggie is all in. Whether it's a game of tug, chasing a ball, or trying out something new, he's happiest when he's having fun with his favourite people. Once he's burnt off some energy, this sweet boy is more than happy to curl up beside you and enjoy plenty of fuss and cuddles. Reggie also enjoys using his nose and taking in the world around him. He loves exploring during free work sessions and would absolutely thrive with some scent-based activities to keep his clever mind busy. A social boy, Reggie enjoys playtimes with other dogs and could potentially share his home with a canine companion, pending successful introductions at the centre. He would benefit from a home with a secure garden where he can stretch his legs and enjoy some zoomies, and his leaving hours will need to be built up gradually as he settles into home life. As an excitable young chap, Reggie would be best suited to a home with older children who can enjoy his playful nature and all the love he has to offer. If you're looking for a loyal companion who will keep you smiling, join you on adventures, and then snuggle up on the sofa afterwards, Reggie could be your perfect match. With his sweet nature, playful spirit, and endless affection, this wonderful Bull Lurcher is ready to bound his way into someone's heart and home.Apply to adopt Published: 23rd June, 2026 Author: Katrina Hyde Tarzan is a Staffordshire Bull Terrier cross looking for his forever home. About Adopt Reggie

What life with Adopt Reggie looks like

Adopt Reggie is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Hope Rescue in Pontyclun.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adopt Reggie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adopt Reggie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hope Rescue handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adopt Reggie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adopt Reggie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hope Rescue will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adopt Reggie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adopt Reggie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hope Rescue early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adopt Reggie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
