Adoptada luma

Labrador Retriever · Female · Adult · 8 years

DATE OF BIRTH: 20/12/2017 BREED: LABRADOR RETRIEVER CROSS CARACTER: She is very good. A happy and active little girl, she is an adult but still has plenty of energy. She is a bit insecure and shy but without doing any bad gestures, she gets along well with other dogs and avoids conflicts. Visual stimuli greatly activate her, and she can end up having a hard time managing them, so a calm environment both inside and outside the house is vital for her emotional balance. She is very affectionate and seeks human contact and company. Once she is comfortable in her calm/comfort zone, she is quite calm. During walks, she pulls a bit on the leash and moving stimuli activate her. The city is not for her. She needs a non-urban environment. Controlled indoor environments transmit more tranquility and security to keep her calm and relaxed, allowing her to enjoy a life befitting a dog. LUMA is the daughter of SOYA, and sister of VERA. During the pandemic, they appeared abandoned in an aquatic park. The three were pregnant, and it was difficult to rescue them. We cannot imagine the situations they had to face to survive.

About Adoptada luma

What life with Adoptada luma looks like

Adoptada luma is a adult labrador retriever dog waiting at SOS Golden in Spain.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇪🇸Adopting from Spain

Spanish protectoras generally include sterilization, all vaccinations, microchip ID, and EU pet passport in the adoption fee (typically €250–€400 for a dog, €100–€180 for a cat). Many maintain partnerships with rescue transport providers across the EU.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adoptada luma, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adoptada luma?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SOS Golden handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adoptada luma on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adoptada luma if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SOS Golden will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adoptada luma already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adoptada luma isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SOS Golden early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adoptada luma and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (ES). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
