I am Autumn, a beautiful brown tabby cat, 4 years old. And with my name, I am just right, because autumn is coming again! I am actually looking for my own warm nest for the coming autumn and all seasons after that. In the meantime, I have been sterilized and my bladder is also doing well again. I had problems with that for a while and we think that's why I sometimes didn't feel so good. Maybe that's also why I could sometimes react unexpectedly with a bite or a swipe. Fortunately, those bladder problems are now a thing of the past and we can hopefully look further into my cheerful side together. Because I certainly have that side! As soon as you come into my little house, I often come to you enthusiastically. I can give you kisses like the best! I love getting attention and enjoy it when you pet me nicely. But... I have a small instruction manual. With me, it's important to use the 3-second rule consistently. Just pet me nicely, stop after about three seconds and give me the chance to let you know if I want more. That way, we keep it nice and cozy for everyone and prevent me from making a wrong estimate and suddenly thinking: "Hey, now it's enough!" I am a sociable lady. I'd like to show you that I can be incredibly happy with attention and coziness, but I like it when you pay attention to my signals. Who knows, this autumn I might become your new housemate. Hoi allemaal! Ik ben Autumn, een mooie bruin cyperse poes van 4 jaar oud. En met mijn naam zit ik helemaal goed, want de herfst komt er weer aan! Ik ben eigenlijk wel op zoek naar mijn eigen warme mandje voor de komende herfst en alle seizoenen daarna. Inmiddels ben ik gesteriliseerd en ook met mijn blaas gaat het gelukkig weer helemaal goed. Ik heb daar een tijdje last van gehad en we denken dat ik me daardoor soms niet zo fijn voelde. Misschien verklaart dat ook waarom ik af en toe een beetje onverwacht kon reageren met een hapje of een uithaal. Gelukkig zijn die blaasproblemen nu verleden tijd en kunnen we hopelijk samen verder kijken naar mijn vrolijke kant. Want die kant heb ik zeker! Zodra je bij mij in mijn hokje komt, kom ik vaak enthousiast naar je toe. Kopjes geven kan ik als de beste! Ik vind het heerlijk om aandacht te krijgen en geniet ervan als je mij lekker aait. Maar… ik heb wel een klein gebruiksaanwijzinkje. Bij mij is het belangrijk om consequent de 3-secondenregel te gebruiken. Even lekker aaien, na ongeveer drie seconden stoppen en mij de kans geven om te laten weten of ik nog meer wil. Zo houden we het voor iedereen gezellig en voorkomen we dat ik een verkeerde inschatting maak en ineens denk: “Hé, nu is het wel genoeg!” Ik ben dus een gezellige dame met een eigen karakter. Ik laat je graag zien dat ik ontzettend blij kan zijn met aandacht en gezelligheid, maar ik vind het fijn als je goed naar mijn signalen kijkt.
