Adri

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

The little girl has been living with us for 6 years. She was found dumped in the Herend cemetery in the coldest of 2018 as a few-week-old puppy. Of course, we replaced Adri's vaccinations and microchip, and she has long since been neutered. Active and playful, but a little to herself, this cat lover has had several inquiries in the past, but until now the right one has not arrived for her.

About Adri

What life with Adri looks like

Adri is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Vackoló Állatmenhely Veszprém in Vackolo.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adri, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adri?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vackoló Állatmenhely Veszprém handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adri on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adri if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vackoló Állatmenhely Veszprém will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Adri already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adri isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vackoló Állatmenhely Veszprém early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adri and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
