Adrian

Mixed Breed · Male

Adrian is a mixed-breed puppy, likely born in early 2025, who was found straying in search of food. He was rescued and brought to the animal shelter of our Hungarian partner organization. Before his adoption, he will still be neutered. He is a very affectionate and handsome little fellow who may be a bit wary of strangers at first meeting and needs some time to adjust to a new environment. However, he soon gains trust and forms a close bond with his familiar people. His alert gaze shows that he is intelligent and will learn quickly. Arslan will surely enjoy shared activities and long walks. He would make a lovely family dog and a good friend for older children. Generally, he gets along well with all other dogs, though some males may still be selective based on mutual liking. Therefore, we recommend him as a second dog to a female. His reaction to cats is unknown. He wishes for loving and active people who have enough free time to patiently show him the world and do not live in the city center. Some experience in dog care should already be present. The puppy stands 44 cm at the shoulder and weighs 14 kg.

HU·Show original

About Adrian

What life with Adrian looks like

Adrian is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Animal Care Hungary.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇭🇺Adopting from Hungary

Hungarian shelters operate at high capacity given the country's stray population. Animals leave sterilized, chipped, and with a passport. Many shelters coordinate transport to Germany, Austria, and the Nordics.

Frequently asked

Adopting Adrian, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Adrian?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animal Care Hungary handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Adrian on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Adrian if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animal Care Hungary will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Adrian already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Adrian isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animal Care Hungary early rather than rehoming privately; they know Adrian and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (HU). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
