How do I contact the shelter about Aglai 🐾?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aglai 🐾 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Aglai 🐾 if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Aglai 🐾 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Aglai 🐾 isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aglai 🐾 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Aglai 🐾

Aglai (female, spayed) 🎂 Birthday: approximately autumn 2024 📌 Location: Cyprus, on the street 🏡 Living situation: secure balcony or garden, no solitary confinement Hey, I'm Aglai. I have a job in a store, which I'm not entirely happy with. While work is fine, I have a warm spot, get food, and all customers pet me. But when the store closes, I have to go out on the street, which is dangerous. Not just because of cars, but there are also feral dogs, snakes, and some people aren't nice to street cats either. That's why I want to change now and work 24/7 in home office. I bring unconditional love, gentle purring, nose nudges, and a lot of cuddling potential. For that, I just want a full bowl, a few strokes, and a cat friend, since you probably can't hang out with me all day in home office. Do you have a spot? Then just send a message to Heroes for Cyprus Cats 💌 My journey to you will be chipped, vaccinated, tested for FiV/FelV, and I'll have an EU pet passport. ------------------------------------------------------------ Who are the heroes behind Heroes for Cyprus Cats We at Heroes for Cyprus Cats are a dedicated team of animal lovers from Cyprus, Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, who are committed to the welfare of street cats in Cyprus. Our goal is to improve the lives of these cats sustainably. Our local team in Cyprus feeds, neuters, and cares for sick or injured cats on the streets and in colonies. If necessary, we bring them to foster families, where they wait in a safe environment for their family. We also maintain a strong online presence, process inquiries from adopters, and provide support at the airport. Street cats in Cyprus suffer a lot and are often victims of car accidents or cruel mistreatment. Many simply starve or die from diseases that are not treated. We save them from this sad fate and work tirelessly to find a loving, safe home for our rescued cats. We place great value on a collegial, transparent, and respectful relationship within our team and with potential adopters. For us, adopting a cat is just the beginning. We commit to supporting our rescued cats and their new families for a lifetime. Together, we make a difference, for every single cat.

About Aglai 🐾

What life with Aglai 🐾 looks like

Aglai 🐾 is a large young adult cat waiting at Heroes for Cyprus Cats / Zypernkatzen in Kirchheim bei München.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.
