Aiden

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy

Description Our animal welfare workers report: Aiden with the cute bat ears and the pleading, hopeful look is looking for his "forever people." His current owners turned out not to be the right ones, as they had a baby and separated, so they could no longer take good care of Aiden. Aiden is still a young dog (when he came to the animal shelter), who is still learning and getting to know things. He was apparently afraid when it was very windy outside, and the previous owner punished him for it. To address the issue properly, they sought a dog trainer. We can't yet say whether Aiden has overcome his fear of extreme wind. Aiden is a friendly, active, and open male dog who also gets along great with small humans; there were absolutely no problems with the baby. He loves playing with his ball, chasing after it, and once he's tired out, he loves his bed just as much! He knows what life in a house is like and behaves well. Aiden can already walk on a leash and enjoys walks, which he unfortunately can't get as often now in the animal shelter. He knows other dogs and has always gotten along well with them, enjoying having buddies around. Cats are also not a problem for him. Aiden is a great rough diamond that still needs the perfect polish from his special someone. Update: 16.01.2026 new photos (Aiden unfortunately has some excess weight, he urgently needs regular walks) 19.10.2025 new photo 21.09.2025 Aiden had epileptic seizures in Spain, but only a few, and none in the last 6 months. It seems to be related to loud stress, such as loud parties. He is currently not taking any medication. 25.01.2024 new video (with cats), new photos Please note:

About Aiden

What life with Aiden looks like

Aiden is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierischgeholfen e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aiden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aiden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierischgeholfen e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aiden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aiden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierischgeholfen e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aiden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aiden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierischgeholfen e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aiden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
