Aiden

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 4 months

adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Aiden has found his luck! His story: Aiden had a tough start: Together with his five siblings Annie, Bari, Cody, Dido, and Tosca, he was placed by the roadside in a banana box in a small village – far too young, completely alone, and without any care. Fortunately, the six were found in time and brought to safety. Now, Aiden lives in a foster home in Romania, where he shows typical puppy behavior – playful, friendly, open-minded, and with a good dose of charm. His brown-black fur with white spots on his paws, snout, and under his chin makes him visually a small looker. So far, Aiden has gotten along well with other dogs. The compatibility with cats has not yet been tested. A loving home is sought for Aiden – with people who are ready to invest time, patience, and heart to guide him from the small street puppy to the happy family dog. He has not yet experienced life in a house or an apartment. The entire puppy ABC, like house training, being left alone, or dealing with everyday distractions are all new to him. Step by step and with much patience, Aiden will learn how to handle life as a family dog. Puberty still lies ahead for him – a phase where young dogs intensively question their environment, test rules, and sometimes seem to forget everything they have learned. A calm, consistent guidance and a lot of humor help to get through this developmental period well. Aiden travels microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated to his new home. Many thanks Dennis! You have given Aiden his name! Date: 27.04.

Vielen Dank Dennis! Du hast Aiden seinen Namen geschenkt! Stand: 27.04.2025

About Aiden

What life with Aiden looks like

Aiden is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aiden, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aiden?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aiden on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aiden if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aiden already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aiden isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aiden and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
