My name is Aika! Aika came to us in May 2026, together with several other dogs, from the Smeura in Romania. At first she was going by the motto "Let's just observe from a safe distance," and she needed some persuading before she opened up to us. She is initially somewhat skeptical of strangers. Her trust has to be earned. But once you have won her heart, you are the most wonderful person in the world to her. Aika gets along splendidly with other dogs and is well socialized. At the fence she likes to play the big guard dog and loudly comment on what's going on, very much in the spirit of "I'm keeping watch here!" Once someone enters her territory, though, the commotion is usually over just as quickly. On the leash, Aika already walks really nicely. Of course there is still room for improvement when it comes to leash manners and house training, but she loves to learn and wants to please her people. Since Aika comes from a huge animal shelter, she is not yet familiar with many everyday things. She still needs to get to know new impressions, household noises, and life in a home. That's why she is looking for people who will give her the time to settle in calmly and show her the world step by step. Whoever gives Aika the time to settle in will be rewarded with a loving, cuddly, and incredibly loyal female dog who would most like never to leave her people's side.

Mein Name ist Aika! Aika ist im Mai 2026 gemeinsam mit einigen anderen Hunden aus der Smeura in Rumänien zu uns gekommen. Anfangs war sie nach dem Motto „Erst mal aus sicherer Entfernung beobachten“ unterwegs und brauchte etwas Überzeugungsarbeit, bis sie sich auf uns eingelassen hat. Bei fremden Menschen ist sie zunächst etwas skeptisch. Vertrauen muss man sich bei ihr verdienen. Hat man ihr Herz aber erst einmal erobert, ist man für sie der tollste Mensch der Welt. Mit anderen Hunden versteht sich Aika prima und ist gut sozialisiert. Am Zaun macht sie gerne mal den großen Wachhund und kommentiert lautstark das Geschehen – ganz nach dem Motto: „Hier passe ich auf!“ Betritt man ihr Reich, ist der Spuk aber meist genauso schnell wieder vorbei. An der Leine läuft Aika schon richtig ordentlich. Natürlich ist bei der Leinenführigkeit und auch der Stubenreinheit noch Luft nach oben, aber sie lernt gern und möchte ihren Menschen gefallen. Da Aika aus einem riesigen Tierheim kommt, kennt sie viele Dinge unseres Alltags noch nicht. Neue Eindrücke, Haushaltsgeräusche oder das Leben in einem Zuhause muss sie erst kennenlernen. Deshalb sucht sie Menschen, die ihr die Zeit geben, in Ruhe anzukommen und ihr die Welt Schritt für Schritt zeigen. Wer Aika die Zeit gibt, in Ruhe anzukommen, wird mit einer liebevollen, verschmusten und unglaublich treuen Hündin belohnt, die ihren Menschen am liebsten nicht mehr von der Seite weicht.
