Alana was caught outside with three other strays and brought to us. Unlike her roommates, Alana is still much more skeptical but has nonetheless made great progress. While she initially only hid, she now lies relaxed on the scratching post and even takes treats from our volunteer cat stroking volunteers. It will still take some time for Alana to become a real cuddly cat, which is why we are looking for her a quiet home with an existing companion or together with one of her friends. Outdoor access in traffic-calmed areas should be possible again as soon as she has settled in properly.

Alana wurde gemeinsam mit drei weiteren Streunern draußen eingefangen und zu uns gebracht. Im Gegensatz zu ihren Mitbewohnern ist Alana noch wesentlich skeptischer, hat aber nichtsdestotrotz schon große Fortschritte gemacht. Während sie sich anfangs nur versteckte, liegt sie nun entspannt auf dem Kratzbaum und nimmt von unseren ehrenamtlichen Katzenstreichlern auch schon Schlecksnack und andere Leckereien an. Bis Alana eine richtige Schmusekatze wird, dauert es dennoch seine Zeit, weshalb wir für sie ein ruhiges Zuhause bei einem bereits vorhandenen Artgenossen oder gemeinsam mit einem ihrer Freunde suchen. Freigang in verkehrsberuhigtem Gebiet sollte in jedem Fall wieder möglich sein, sobald sie sich richtig eingelebt hat.
