Alana

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Now request this dog! Alana has found her home! Her story: A little princess is searching for her home! Alanas strikingly beautiful fur pattern, her white chest, and her white paws make her a real looker, and her attentive dark button eyes radiate warmth and friendliness. But she is not only exceptionally beautiful, but also has an incredibly gentle character. The little Alana moved into a loving foster family in mid-February and has settled in very well from the start. She blossoms, is very trusting and cuddly, approaches everyone openly, and always wants to be cuddled extensively. Alana is puppy-type playful and lively, and gratefully accepts every affection and attention. She is a brave and curious little puppy girl and is very open and contact-seeking towards strangers and other dogs. She loves walks and already runs quite well on the leash, even potty training works pretty well. She has already learned a lot, toys of all kinds make her very happy, and with a few treats, her motivation can always be boosted. However, she always needs someone nearby and cannot be left alone yet, which is completely normal for such a little puppy. Originally, Alana came from Romania, Baia Mare. She was given up at a private shelter in Baia Mare with her siblings Emily, Bommel, Chettu, Vin, and Tilia because no one wanted them. We wish for Alana loving people who are ready to not only take her into their lives but also into their hearts and share many beautiful moments and memories with her. An ideal home would be a rural one. Alana is vaccinated, microchipped, and has an EU pet passport. Have you already fallen in love with the little princess? She is looking forward to meeting you. Many thanks to the namingsponsor Petra L., who gave Alana her beautiful name and thus a personal identity. As of: 22.02.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt diesen Hund anfragen! Stand: 22.02.2026

About Alana

What life with Alana looks like

Alana is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Alana, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Alana?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Alana on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Alana if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Alana already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Alana isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Alana and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
