adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Peace and quiet, wonderful Albino… 9430 St. Margrethen, Switzerland. Albino waits in Switzerland for you! His story: Fantanele, Romania. Albino is one of 17 dogs rescued from the terrible shelter in Vaslui. Many of these dogs were in poor condition and had to be medically treated first. So was Albino. The handsome male dog with the beautiful fur and sad eyes is estimated to be around 10 years old. He is a medium-sized dog at 50 cm and weighs around 20 kilos. Due to his origin, there is unfortunately no information about his past, but his behavior suggests that he hasn't had the best experiences with people. The local caregiver describes him as follows: "One can see that he would like to interact with people, but he is not brave enough because he is still very insecure. However, I am sure that he will overcome this with a lot of peace and patience in an environment." He gets along well with other dogs. What Albino now needs is a quick travel arrangement to a loving environment where the handsome male dog will be shown a lot of patience and that he can trust his people. We therefore wish for Albino a home with empathetic and dog-experienced people who have a lot of time and patience for him and give him the attention and affection he deserves. It could be a bumpy road. For Albino must also learn a lot – primarily trust in people. A positively reinforcing training style is an absolute condition, because only in this way can trust grow. Children should already be older and accept retreats. Albino travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to his new home. He would also be very happy to go to a foster home. Do you want to show Albino how wonderful life can be? Then sign up quickly before the long and cold winter in Romania arrives! Many thanks, Silvie S.! Your namingsponsorship was the starting gun for a new life! Heartfelt thanks, Jennifer B.! You support Albino with a monthly sponsorship. As of 30.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Ruhe in Frieden, toller Albino… 9430 St. Margrethen, Schweiz. Lieben Dank Jennifer B.! Du unterstützt Albino mit einer monatlichen Patenschaft. Stand: 30.03.2024

About Albino

What life with Albino looks like

Albino is a large senior mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Albino, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Albino?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Albino on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Albino if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Albino already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Albino isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Albino and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
