Alejo was taken out of the pound in 2024 after we learned he was going untreated for an illness he had contracted. We were told he had dirofilariasis, a disease that can be fatal but is curable with proper treatment. Since the Logroño pound was not going to provide him with the treatment, we took him out and started him on treatment ourselves. Thanks to a crowdfunding campaign, we were able to cover his hospital costs, and today he is cured! He is an extremely affectionate dog, very good with other dogs and with children. He has attended school talks as the association's representative and has let dozens of young people pet him at once, remaining very calm. He is currently at the shelter waiting to be adopted.

A Alejo lo sacamos de la perrera en 2024 al tener conocimiento de que se encontraba sin tratamiento para una enfermedad que había contraido. Nos comunicaron que tenía dirofilaria que es una enfermedad que puede ser letal, pero con el tratamiento adecuado es curable. Dado que desde la perrera de Logroño no iban a facilitarle el tratamiento lo sacamos y lo pusimos en tratamiento nsootras. Gracias a un crowdfunding se pudieron costear sus ingresos hospitalarios y a día de hoy está curado! Es un perro ultramimoso, muy bueno con otros perros y con los niños. Ha acudido de representante de la asociación a charlas en colegios y se ha dejado mimar por decenas de jóvenes a la vez, estando muy tranquilo. Se encuentra en el refugio a espera de ser adoptado.
