Alfie arrived at our shelter with a group of dogs removed by municipal services from a location where they lived in conditions of severe neglect and were used for breeding or as blood donors. Some of these dogs were sent to Cantinho da Milu without vaccination or sterilization, with the care of these procedures falling to the association. Alfie is very shy. He was probably not properly socialized and may never have known a different reality from the one he lived in. Despite this, he is an extremely gentle dog and we believe that in an environment where he feels safe and with the necessary time to adapt, he could become an excellent companion. He is very sociable with other dogs and tends to follow them, so the company of a sociable and confident dog could make a big difference in his adaptation. He still does not know how to walk on a leash, but he will learn. He will be delivered vaccinated, dewormed, sterilized and with a microchip.

O Alfie chegou até nós juntamente com um grupo de cães retirados pelos serviços municipais de um local onde viviam em condições de grande negligência e eram utilizados para reprodução ou como dadores de sangue. Parte destes cães foi encaminhada para o Cantinho da Milu sem vacinação ou esterilização, ficando esses cuidados a cargo da associação. O Alfie é muito tímido. Provavelmente não foi devidamente socializado e poderá nunca ter conhecido uma realidade diferente daquela em que vivia. Apesar disso, é um cão extremamente meigo e acreditamos que, num ambiente onde se sinta seguro e com o tempo necessário para se adaptar, poderá tornar-se um excelente companheiro. É muito sociável com outros cães e tende a segui-los, pelo que a companhia de um cão sociável e confiante poderá fazer uma grande diferença na sua adaptação. Ainda não sabe passear à trela, mas irá aprender.Será entregue vacinado, desparasitado, esterilizado e com microchip.
