His story: Alfie is a young puppy from the litter of Mama Nova. Together with her and his eight siblings—Elsa, Kirby, Mina, Milkshake, Bubble, Summer, Potato, and Malia—he currently lives in the shelter in Fântânele. The nine puppies were born unexpectedly, as Mama Nova was originally caught only for spaying. The start of life is as challenging for Alfie as it is for his siblings. The little family lives in a limited kennel that offers protection from the elements but little space, little variation, and no opportunity to learn about the environment or regular human proximity. Alfie shows age-appropriate activity in the company of his siblings. As he is still very young, his character cannot be reliably assessed at this time. Like all puppies, his development will depend greatly on the experiences, support, and structures he will encounter in the coming months. Visually, Alfie stands out with his particularly fluffy fur and enchanting round eyes. How big he will grow remains to be seen; his mother is athletic and about 55 cm tall. In early February, Alfie will be ready for the next step. A forever family is sought that will give him security, orientation, and time to settle in. A foster home would also be a valuable stepping stone into a new life. At the moment, Alfie is a young puppy at the beginning of his journey. In a few months, he will also enter puberty—a phase that requires loving consistency in his upbringing. We recommend working with a positively oriented dog training class for Alfie. Patient and loving training will foster his development and strengthen the bond to his trusted people. Seine Geschichte: Alfie ist ein junger Welpenbub aus dem Wurf von Mama Nova. Gemeinsam mit ihr und seinen acht Geschwistern – Elsa, Kirby, Mina, Milkshake, Bubble, Summer, Potato und Malia – lebt er derzeit im Shelter in Fântânele. Die neun Welpen kamen überraschend zur Welt, da Mama Nova ursprünglich nur zur Kastration eingefangen worden war. Der Start ins Leben ist für Alfie wie für seine Geschwister stark eingeschränkt. Die kleine Familie lebt in einem begrenzten Kennel, der Schutz vor Witterung bietet, aber kaum Platz, wenig Abwechslung und keine Möglichkeit, Umweltreize oder regelmäßige menschliche Nähe kennenzulernen. Alfie zeigt sich altersgemäß aktiv im Zusammensein mit seinen Geschwistern. Da er noch sehr jung ist, lässt sich sein Charakter derzeit nicht zuverlässig einschätzen. Wie bei allen Welpen wird seine Entwicklung stark davon abhängen, welche Erfahrungen, Förderung und Strukturen er in den kommenden Monaten erleben darf. Optisch fällt Alfie durch sein besonders flauschiges Fell und seinen umwerfenden Kulleraugen auf. Wie groß er einmal werden wird, lässt sich noch nicht sicher sagen; seine Mutter ist sportlich gebaut und etwa 55 cm groß. Ende Februar wird Alfie bereit sein für den nächsten Schritt. Gesucht wird eine für-immer-Familie, die ihm Sicherheit, Orientierung und Zeit zum Ankommen gibt. Auch eine Pflegestelle wäre ein wertvolles Sprungbrett ins neue Leben. Im Moment ist Alfie ein junges Hundekind am Anfang seines Weges. In einigen Monaten wird auch er in die Pubertät kommen – eine Phase, in der mit liebevoller Konsequenz an seiner Erziehung gearbeitet werden muss. Darum empfehlen wir für Alfie die Zusammenarbeit mit einer positiv arbeitenden Hundeschule. Geduldiges und liebevolles Training wird seine Entwicklung fördern und die Bindung zu seinen Bezugspersonen stärken. Durch regelmäßigen Kontakt zu Artgenossen und viele positive Erlebnisse mit seinen Menschen wird Alfie sich hoffentlich zu einem fröhlichen und zuverlässigen Begleiter entwickeln.
