Alice

Mixed Breed · Unknown · Puppy · 5 months

Alice is a 5-month-old "Twilight-Welpen" who was born on the streets with her seven siblings. Her parents still live on the streets and are very afraid of people; they manage to avoid the traps set up to catch them. Alice was brought to the shelter at about 3-4 months old. She is now about 5 months old and is expected to grow into a large dog. She looks very similar to her sister Bella, but has a slightly lighter coat; she is, however, the more courageous and active of the two. Curious and confident, she loves to explore her surroundings and find out what's going on around her. She has a adventurous little nature and is ready to discover the world beyond the shelter. Alice is still a young puppy who has a lot to learn, and she deserves a family that will help her develop into a happy, confident adult dog. All 8 puppies are healthy, fully vaccinated, chipped, and ready to fly into your arms on November 18, 2026. They are curious and lively, exploring their surroundings as typical for puppies. We are now looking for a lovely family for this great young dog with plenty of time, which such a puppy/young dog definitely still needs. She needs to learn everything in her life and you should support her as best as you can. Children in the household should definitely be older and at least of school age and have learned a respectful way of dealing with an animal. A house with a fenced-in garden would be great, where she can play and romp around, but of course she can also live in an apartment (with few stairs) with corresponding outdoor activities. A puppy/young dog is super cute, but you should not underestimate the work that a young dog brings. Puppies/young dogs are usually not house-trained and must first learn to live in a house, as we implement it. She will surely like to go for walks and attending a puppy/dog school is definitely a must, just to meet other dogs and enable social contact; also, a well-behaved dog is always pleasant and you enjoy having him around and can take him everywhere. Alice is also a dog type who likes to work and should definitely have meaningful employment. In any case, you have time, and not just for a short vacation. The animal welfare fee including flight cost share to Hamburg is 640.00 EUR. Other airports such as Frankfurt or Munich can only be offered to you upon availability, plus a transport fee of 100.00 EUR. If you can imagine giving Alice a loving home, please contact me! Ideally, fill out the self-disclosure first, use the comment field for a few personal words and details, and we will then arrange a phone call so that we can talk about this great dog together. Please read our pre-information. Here you will find some valuable tips and information that should help you decide on a dog from animal welfare. Alice is ready for her new life - and maybe it starts with you?

About Alice

What life with Alice looks like

Alice is a medium-sized puppy mixed breed dog waiting at Hundeliebe Grenzenlos e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Alice, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Alice?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Hundeliebe Grenzenlos e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Alice on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Alice if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Hundeliebe Grenzenlos e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Alice already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Alice isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Hundeliebe Grenzenlos e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Alice and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
