European Shorthair · Male · Adult · 9 years

In the best age and totally desperate status: available Name: Alma & Manni Breed: EKH Gender: female & male neutered Color: black & white brown Age: 10 years Old Gets along with: fellow animals Alma and Manni are a 10-year-old cat couple originally from Spain. Both tabby cats are totally loving and cuddly, the large, white-brown spotted Manni has a congenital stub tail…. For many years, the two Spaniards lived peacefully and happily with a couple, until suddenly an allergy broke out (possibly due to Corona?) and the two had to leave their home. From there, their odyssey began. First, Alma and Manni ended up with a family with very young children. In particular, Alma did not get along with this and developed a bladder infection, urinating outside the cat litter box. So, the two had to pack their bags and landed in a quieter household, but this time with a dog, which was not what the two tenants had imagined for a cozy home, and Alma continued to have the habit of often relieving herself next to the cat litter box.

About Alma & Manni

What life with Alma & Manni looks like

Alma & Manni is a large adult european shorthair cat waiting at Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof in Germany.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Alma & Manni, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Alma & Manni?: Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Alma & Manni on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Alma & Manni if I live in another country?: Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Alma & Manni already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?: Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Alma & Manni isn't the right fit?: Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierschutzverein 7 Gebirge e.V. — Orscheider Hof early rather than rehoming privately; they know Alma & Manni and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?: TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
