Animal shelter Tenerife (Sabine) Input 10 april 2026: Alwin was found with his mama, Aennie, and brought to our animal shelter. This little guy is extremely curious and adventurous despite clearly being new to everything. In new situations, Alwin sometimes needs a moment to get oriented. But after he has looked at the cat in the tree, he warms up quickly. It's particularly beautiful to see how strongly he focuses on people now! When he feels uncertain or doubtful about something, he immediately seeks us out with his beautiful look. When meeting new people, he is initially a bit reserved and takes some time before his curiosity eventually wins. With other dogs, he is playful and good-natured but also prefers to be challenged rather than taking the initiative to start a sprint or game with the others. He has a great foundation: that typical puppy behavior, curious, cheerful, and full of energy, but also that soft, cautious, and shy side of a wise soul who didn't have the best start in life. This sensitive guy is looking for his own person whom he can be loyal to, someone who can guide him in that beautiful but still a bit exciting outside world. *Alwin is traveling to the Netherlands at the end of this month where he will come to the shelter hoping to quickly find his own permanent golden bed and his own person.

Asiel Tenerife (Sabine) Input 10 april 2026: Alwin werd samen met zijn mama, Aennie, gevonden en naar ons asiel gebracht.Dit kleine ventje is ontzettend nieuwsgierig en ondernemend ondanks dat je duidelijk ziet dat alles nieuw voor hem is. In nieuwe situaties heeft Alwin soms even nodig om zich te oriënteren. Maar nadat hij de kat uit de boom heeft gekeken, ontdooit hij snel. Het is bijzonder mooi om te zien hoe sterk hij zich op mensen richt inmiddels! Als hij zich onzeker voelt of ergens over twijfelt dan zoekt hij ons direct op met zijn mooie blik. Bij het ontmoeten van nieuwe mensen is hij in eerste instantie een beetje gereserveerd en neemt hij even zijn tijd voordat uiteindelijk zijn nieuwsgierigheid toch overwint. Met andere honden is hij speels en goed in de omgang maar ook dan laat hij zich liever uitdagen dan dat hij zelf een sprintje of spelletje durft te beginnen bij de rest.Hij heeft een prachtige basis: dat typische puppygedrag nieuwsgierig, vrolijk en vol energie maar ook die, zachte, voorzichtige en verlegen kant van een wijze ziel die niet het beste begin in het leven had. Dit gevoelig ventje zoekt een eigen mens die hij trouw mag zijn, iemand die hem kan begeleiden in die prachtige maar nog een beetje spannende mooie buitenwereld!*Alwin reist eind deze maand naar Nederland waar hij in de opvang komt in de hoop dat hij vanuit daar snel zijn eigen definitieve gouden mandje en eigen mens gaat vinden.
