How do I contact the shelter about Amaël?

Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Les Truffes du Soleil handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Amaël on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.

Can I adopt Amaël if I live in another country?

Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Les Truffes du Soleil will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.

Is Amaël already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?

Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.

What happens if Amaël isn't the right fit?

Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Les Truffes du Soleil early rather than rehoming privately; they know Amaël and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.

Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?

TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.

Amaël, Male, X Berger, born 24/04/2026 🐶 Identified: #250 26 96 99 84 22 75 (Non LOF) Siblings of 6 puppies Coucou, I'm Amaël! I'll weigh between 20 and 25kg when I'm grown up. With my brothers and sister, we were found wandering with our mom. We were scared, we didn't understand, but little by little, we became secure. And now, I'm discovering that the world isn't so scary. So I'm the last of my litter to arrive at Auntie's, a bit like a small shadow. Quite fearful and very suspicious, the kind of puppy who prefers to watch from a distance before approaching. But since I've been here, I'm making my way, slowly but surely. I'm a sensitive little heart. 🥺 With my friends, I'm in my element: I love playing with my brothers, I love Auntie's dogs, I'm respectful with cats, and when I'm with other animals, I really relax. It's my universe and it reassures me. In the garden, I have a real passion for sticks. I love playing with them.

About Amaël

What life with Amaël looks like

Amaël is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Les Truffes du Soleil in France.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇫🇷Adopting from France

French refuges follow the SPA framework: adopters sign a cession contract that includes sterilization, vaccinations, microchip identification, and rabies passport. Fees are typically €150–€300. Many refuges work with rescue transport partners for cross-border placements.
