Amanda

Belgian Shepherd · Female · Puppy · 7 months

Hello everyone! 🐾 Let me introduce myself: my name is Amanda, I am an adorable young puppy, a mix of Australian Shepherd, Belgian Shepherd, and Malinois. I was born in March 2026 and, when fully grown, I will be a medium-sized dog weighing around 20 kg. I am a smart, lively, and cheerful little girl who loves learning new things. I enjoy exploring the world, have plenty of energy, and need someone who can guide me through my growth with patience, love, and lots of affection. I am deaf, but that does not stop me from being a puppy full of joy and enthusiasm for life! I am looking for an attentive family willing to get to know me and learn how to communicate with me. Unfortunately, my story has reached a difficult turning point. My current family works long hours and cannot dedicate the time I need. As a result, I am at risk of ending up in a shelter, something we are desperately trying to avoid. Because I am a very intelligent and energetic puppy, I am looking for experienced people who can provide me with activities, mental stimulation, and positive, gentle training. Around other dogs, I can still be a little impulsive, and I need help learning how to interact with them more calmly. Now I am searching for a special, committed, and experienced family, or even a foster family, who can help me begin a new life filled with love, security, and wonderful adventures. I am fully vaccinated and microchipped, but I have not yet been spayed because I have not had my first heat cycle. I am currently in Italy and can travel throughout Europe and the United Kingdom for the right adoption or a safe foster placement. 👉 Fully vaccinated, microchipped, tested negative for Leishmaniasis and Brucellosis, and equipped with an EU pet passport – ready for a loving home! 👉 Adoption subject to a home check, adoption contract, and adoption fee. 📝 Foster/adoption form: 📞 🇮🇹 Chiara (WhatsApp) – 🇬🇧 Chiara (WhatsApp only) – 🇩🇪 Sabrina (WhatsApp)

About Amanda

What life with Amanda looks like

Amanda is a medium-sized puppy belgian shepherd dog waiting at Furry Rescue Italy in Nazionale.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting Amanda, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Amanda?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Furry Rescue Italy handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Amanda on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Amanda if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Furry Rescue Italy will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Amanda already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Amanda isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Furry Rescue Italy early rather than rehoming privately; they know Amanda and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
