Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 7 years

Amara, a female mixed breed dog, is waiting for a loving home in 16845 Stüdenitz. She was born in 2019, is 45cm tall, and is spayed. She is compatible with children, dogs, and cats, but is very interested in cats. Amara is a small heart-winner, not just a cuddly dog, but one that smiles at her humans and actually does smile! When she is happy, she wrinkles her face like she is grinning. She is very intelligent and quickly understood the rules of living with her foster family. She was house-trained from day one. She has integrated well into the existing dog group and quickly discovered her love for the couch. Amara is a loyal soul who constantly seeks contact with her humans. When you approach her bed, she always turns over for belly rubs - it's impossible to just walk by. In the garden, she enjoys playing with the other dogs and always signs off with a victory lap. She walks well on a leash, with occasional stubborn moments. She is very oriented towards humans and will likely be able to walk without a leash after proper acclimation - at least in quiet environments. She generally appears to be a balanced companion who doesn't need huge rounds, although she enjoys being out. In Romania, she must have broken her front leg many years ago, and the fracture did not fully heal, resulting in a leg shortening. We had a surgeon x-ray and examine it, but he advised against surgery as she seems to have no pain. Amara lives with other dogs, horses, cats, and children at her foster home. She handles all of this well. In the dog group, she doesn't let others take her food, but enjoys the closeness and affection of her dog friends. However, she doesn't like other dogs' boundary-pushing behavior. Amara is a wonderful dog who quickly won the heart of her foster family. Those who adopt her will get a dream dog. We are looking for loving people who want to adopt a dog as a friend and companion, but don't expect dog sports from her. She wants many cuddles and desires time, love, and understanding. If you bring all of this and want to love and accompany Amara for life, please contact us. Amara will be vaccinated (distemper, H.c.c., parainfluenza, leptospirosis, and rabies), chipped, dewormed, and will have an EU pet passport in her new home. She will only be adopted after a positive pre-control, with a contract, and for a fee through the Step by Paw e. V. association. If you are seriously interested in adoption, please send us a message. Please introduce yourself briefly so we can get an idea of how Amara would live with you.

What life with Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie looks like

Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

How do I contact the shelter about Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Notfellchen Rumänien e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Amara wünscht sich eine eigene Familie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
