AMIDALA

Mixed Breed · Male · Puppy · 10 months

Breed: HSH-mixed breed Project: Greece/Larissa Gender: female Age: born 09/2025 Size: growing Weight: approx. 6 kg (as of 01.11.2025) Other: friendly, playful, but rather calm, brave, to be placed in experienced hands Current location: Animal shelter in Greece/Larissa AMIDALA's Story A cardboard box was found in front of Tyrnavos Town Hall containing four tiny, only about five days old puppies – AMIDALA and her brothers CHARLY, HERMAN, and MINCO. The mayor immediately contacted our animal welfare colleagues, and fortunately, one of our dedicated volunteers took the little ones in right away. This began a real struggle for survival: round-the-clock bottle feeding, every three hours, over many weeks. Thanks to this loving care, the puppies made it – they are now healthy, lively, and ready for the next step. Currently, they live in the quarantine room of our shelter and are developing wonderfully. AMIDALA is the only female dog in the small sibling group. She is a beautiful mixed-breed female, rather calm, very friendly, and cuddly. She seems to be the smallest of the group, but still shows an open, fearless nature. How she will develop further, especially after moving into her new home, we of course cannot predict precisely. Each animal grows with new experiences. With loving, patient, and consistent guidance, AMIDALA will surely grow into a wonderful companion. AMIDALA is microchipped, age-appropriately vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for endo- and ectoparasites. Of course, we do not know which breeds are involved exactly. But based on their original origin, it is assumed that perhaps the Greek German Shepherd (HSH) was also involved at some point. And therefore, we wish for AMIDALA a home in experienced hands with a house and garden, preferably in a rural location, so she can arrive safely and grow up in peace.

Rasse: HSH-Mischling Projekt: Griechenland/Larissa Geschlecht: weiblich Alter: geb. Jedes Tier wächst an neuen Erfahrungen.

About AMIDALA

What life with AMIDALA looks like

AMIDALA is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. in Bamberg.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting AMIDALA, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about AMIDALA?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw AMIDALA on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt AMIDALA if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is AMIDALA already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if AMIDALA isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Tierisch Grenzenlos e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know AMIDALA and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
