Amora

Belgian Malinois · Male · Puppy

Malinois Mix Amora - Love on Four Paws Sometimes there are puppies that enchant you from the very first moment with their cheerful and open nature - Amora is just such a little personality. She has recently been living in her foster home in Germany and shows there every day how uncomplicated and curious she is. As a Malinois mix, she probably brings a lot of intelligence, eagerness to learn and energy. Although she is still often a puppy, she will want to be challenged and encouraged as an adult dog. Malinois and their mixes are not beginner dogs and need people who enjoy working with their dog and also mentally challenging them. Amora is fearless, self-confident and approaches everything new with an admirable composure. Whether it's unfamiliar surroundings, road traffic or new impressions - she encounters everything openly, interested and courageously. She also masters car rides very relaxed. She gets along great with the existing dog pack and is well socialized. Quite typical for a puppy, she also tests her limits with the older dogs. In everyday life, the little mouse is already making great progress. She is almost housebroken, sleeps without problems in her box and leaving alone with the pack is already being practiced successfully. Playful, first commands such as "sit" or recall etc. are being incorporated. She learns quickly, wants to please and brings the best prerequisites to develop into a loyal and everyday companion.

About Amora

What life with Amora looks like

Amora is a puppy/kitten belgian malinois dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Amora, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Amora?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Amora on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Amora if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Amora already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Amora isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Amora and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
