adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Anahita has found her home! Her story: Anahita – uncomplicated, glossy-black magic mouse wants to become part of your family! The two friends Anahita and Luli love each other – and they love family life! The two were found together by a heartwarming family and temporarily taken in. So they already know what life in the house is like! The two friends are friendly with other dogs, like cats, and love people, whether big or small. Anahita is a dream for any family! Uncomplicated and compatible with all, young and mature, and always up for a walk, in hand-friendly size, so that even children (who know careful handling with dogs) can have a lot of fun with the open female dog. The black fur nose is open to all adventures and always friendly, and she has also enjoyed basic training – can she explore the world with you? Of course, the big move will also be a change for the lively Anahita and will require some time and patience – her new family can also make use of the help of dog trainers and dog schools that have experience with shelter dogs and can further strengthen the dog-human bond with positive support. But we are sure that Anahita will also adapt quickly to her new home and there she will spread lots of joy and love! The biggest wish of Anahita and Luli and their foster family is that they can stay together – will someone make the Christmas miracle happen? Anahita can also be rehomed individually. Has Anahita or have the two friends already made a smile appear on your face and find their way into your heart? If Anahita can enrich your family with all her love and liveliness, please contact us via the website. Anahita is neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and flea-treated. She was named by her godmother Lisa, and we are grateful. As of 03.12.

About Anahita

What life with Anahita looks like

Anahita is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Anahita, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Anahita?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Anahita on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Anahita if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Anahita already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Anahita isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Anahita and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
