adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Anais has found her home! Her story: Anais's gaze goes straight to the heart. Anais was brought to the animal shelter by dogcatchers. There, she lives with her puppies at the moment. We can't say much about her past, but her behavior suggests she hasn't only had good experiences. Anais is a charming young female dog. She is still a bit shy and reserved. But once she gets to know someone better, she becomes more open and wants to play. This is also shown by her beautiful light eyes, which look attentively and curiously into the camera. This gaze leaves a lasting impression. Anais impresses with the wonderful fur pattern on her face. The name Anais means the "Graceful" and that describes her quite well. With her 48 cm and 16 kg, Anais has a nice small to medium size. Anais is good with other dogs. We couldn't test her with cats yet. Anais is looking for people who don't have too many expectations of her. Anais should be allowed to set her own pace when she arrives. She still has a lot to learn, from house training to dog ABCs. At 3 years old, she has already gone through the child stage and puberty, but her whole life is still ahead of her. She looks forward to long nature walks and enough mental stimulation, also for her little head. Anais travels neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas. A foster home would also be helpful. Once Anaiss' puppies are old enough, she can embark on her great journey. Who still has a dog bed free for the young lady and gives Anais a chance? Many thanks Lotti v. P.! You gave Anais this pretty name and thus a identity. Additionally, you support her with a monthly sponsorship!

About Anais

What life with Anais looks like

Anais is a medium-sized young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Anais, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Anais?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Anais on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Anais if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Anais already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Anais isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Anais and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
