🐶🐶🐶Max, beautiful adult German Shepherd dog 🐶🐶🐶 (in Milan) Max was born on April 1st, 2015, has long hair and is very in need of people to bond with and large spaces to live in. 👫🌲🌳🏡 He is a huge German Shepherd, really big and obviously very beautiful! He weighs around 45/50 kg. ⛔He shows reactive behavior towards other dogs, cats or children, therefore he is not suitable for cohabitation. Nevertheless, he is very good on walks. 🐕🦺 🔝🔝🔝 When he was taken in, he showed signs of dysplasia, which still cause him back pain. Now it needs to be reassessed by a veterinarian and updated X-rays. He had leishmaniasis but has recovered; he has check-ups every six months (unfortunately due to this health problem, his tail no longer has fur). 🔜🔜🔜Now Max is in Milan and it is possible to visit him at the shelter. He will be handed over microchipped, neutered, vaccinated and tested. Maximum seriousness is required for the well-being of a dog. Adoption through a questionnaire📝 and pre-adoption. ⛔️Only for breed enthusiasts. No children, no cats, no dogs. A presentation contact is appreciated, exclusively by phone 📞 or email 📧 or via WhatsApp (we will respond as soon as possible) ADOPT ME WITH LOVE – ODV ☎️ 3496325688 (Veronica) 📧

Adozione tramite questionario📝 e preaffido. ⛔️Solo per intenditori della razza. No bambini, no gatti, no cani. Gradito contatto di presentazione, unicamente telefonico 📞o via mail 📧o su whatsapp (risponderemo appena possibile) ADOTTAMI COL CUORE – ODV ☎️ 3496325688 (Veronica) 📧

About &#x1f436

What life with &#x1f436 looks like

&#x1f436 is a medium-sized senior mixed breed dog waiting at Adottami col Cuore in Andria (BAT).

Senior dogs settle in faster than younger ones. They want a soft bed, predictable meals, and short, sniff-heavy walks rather than runs. Many senior rescues bond deeply within weeks because they understand exactly how good a stable home is. Expect occasional vet visits for joint or dental care.

🇮🇹Adopting from Italy

Italian canili require adopters to sign a stewardship contract (affido) and may retain the right to verify the animal's wellbeing post-adoption. Animals are chipped and sterilized before leaving (Legge 281/91). Public canili rifugio typically waive adoption fees.

Frequently asked

Adopting &#x1f436, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about &#x1f436?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Adottami col Cuore handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw &#x1f436 on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt &#x1f436 if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Adottami col Cuore will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is &#x1f436 already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if &#x1f436 isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Adottami col Cuore early rather than rehoming privately; they know &#x1f436 and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (IT). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
