Angel (Angie)

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

Angel (answers to the name Angie) is about 40 cm tall and, with her short legs, a compact little lady. For over a year now she has been living in her foster home, and she has developed from a trembling bundle of fear into a sweet, grateful companion. Angie does not want to be touched by strangers, but she is quite affectionate toward her foster mom, and she now enjoys being petted by her. Walks are still too much for her; she needs a lot of time and trust here before she can open up. She is, however, house-trained and enjoys her time in the garden. Angie gets along very well with all dogs and could therefore also be a second dog or live in a small pack. Indoors, Angie is relaxed, uncomplicated, and shows herself to be a very well-balanced personality. For Angie we wish for kind people who bring calm, patience, and experience so that they can win her trust bit by bit. A rural home with a house and garden, where she can spend her days completely relaxed, would be perfect for this sensitive little soul. Do you have room for the sweet little Angie? Then feel free to contact us, and you can get to know each other in Witzeeze. Angie will be neutered, vaccinated, microchipped, and, after a positive pre-screening, placed through the animal welfare association Vierbeiner in Not e. V.

About Angel (Angie)

What life with Angel (Angie) looks like

Angel (Angie) is an adult mixed breed dog waiting at Vierbeiner in Not e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Angel (Angie), answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Angel (Angie)?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Vierbeiner in Not e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Angel (Angie) on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Angel (Angie) if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Vierbeiner in Not e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Angel (Angie) already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Angel (Angie) isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Vierbeiner in Not e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Angel (Angie) and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
