Angela

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 3 years

Mixed-breed Angela - ready for her own life Angela actually came to Eli and her team to be spayed. But something completely different happened that very night: Angela gave birth to 11 puppies. So she stayed at the shelter to raise her babies. Unfortunately, only two of her puppies survived - they are now also looking for their own families. Angela herself is a balanced, outgoing and loving dog. She gets along well with other dogs and is friendly towards people, allowing them to get close. Now a new chapter should begin for Angela. She has not known life in a home before and will therefore have to learn many new things. Housebreaking, being alone, walking on a leash, driving a car and all the small and big things of everyday life are still new to her. We wish Angela people who show her with calmness, patience and loving consistency how beautiful a home can be. People who give her the time to arrive, build trust and learn with her. Angela is a young dog who wants to discover so much. She wants to be challenged, experience something, grow with her people and of course enjoy many cuddly moments. Who would like to give Angela the jump into a new, better life and finally show her how it feels to really arrive and be loved? Adopting a shelter dog always means taking on a special responsibility and can also become a challenge. The dogs bring a backpack with past experiences or unlearned situations and need time to settle into their new life. If you are seriously interested in adopting Angela, please contact the responsible mediator of SALVA Hundehilfe. We would also be very happy to provide a foster home. Here is Angela's video

About Angela

What life with Angela looks like

Angela is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. in Germany.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Dogs and cats typically leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with an EU pet passport.

Frequently asked

Adopting Angela, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Angela?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Angela on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Angela if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Transport is usually a separate cost, so ask for the exact figure before you commit.
Is Angela already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Angela isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with SALVA Hundehilfe e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Angela and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
