Anna

Mixed Breed · Female · Young · 1 year

Born: ca. February 26, 2025 Size: Likely to reach an average adult size of ca. 18-20kg Ready to travel: Available immediately Location: Romania 🐶🌼 Anna – a gentle heart searching for security 🏡🤍 The little Anna had a difficult start in life 💔🐾. Too early, she had to learn what insecurity and fear meant – without protection, without a stable primary caregiver, without a home 😢. But deep in her heart, she held onto her hope ✨🤍. Thanks to loving help, Anna found safety 🍀. Now, she is learning step by step that there is another side to life: warmth, affection, and people who mean well to her 🏡💞. Anna is a sensitive, friendly puppy girl 🌸. She meets new situations cautiously, observes a lot, and needs time to build trust ⏳🤍. If given this time and met with patience and love, she shows her gentle, clingy side and gives her heart completely 💖🐶. Perhaps right now, somewhere, the person who will show Anna that she is finally allowed to arrive – and give her a forever home 🏡🤍🐾. Anna is vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, neutered, and has a veterinary check-up. She is in possession of a Eu-Animal Passport. All our dogs travel with official travel documents and Paragraph 11 approval to Germany. Our dogs are additionally tested for Mediterranean diseases via a rapid test. The adoption fee is 500€ plus 30€ for the purchase of safety gear. Note: When we assign our dogs to certain breeds, we base this on their outward appearance and observable behavior (phenotype). This assignment is made with the best of intentions and knowledge of the club and the involved veterinarians. However, these descriptions do not necessarily correspond to the actual genetic makeup (genotype), as their reliable determination would only be possible through DNA analysis. Furthermore, the behavioral and character description of each animal is based on careful observations by animal welfare workers at the intake shelters or by the respective foster facilities. It should be noted that these assessments are based solely on the current local conditions in the intake shelters or foster facilities.

About Anna

What life with Anna looks like

Anna is a small young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Rescued Souls e.V. in Pfinztal.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Anna, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Anna?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Rescued Souls e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Anna on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Anna if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Rescued Souls e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Anna already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Anna isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Rescued Souls e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Anna and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
