adoption requirements adoption process Adopt this animal now! adoption requirements adoption process Annette has found a home! Her story: Husky Fans pay attention. Here comes Annette, a charming young lady who finally wants to find her people. Annette lives in a foster home, but in the outdoor area. During a spay/neuter campaign in Sighetul Marmatiei in October 2024, she was apparently left behind with her current penmate Leevke. The owners could not be found. Now it's time for Annette to find a forever home. Annette gets along well with other dogs, and the cat introduction has already been made. Whether this is the great love, we cannot say. Whether Annette is a purebred Husky, we do not know, but one could assume this from her appearance. Annette has an approximate size of 50-54 cm and a weight of about 20-23 kg. We wish Annette an active home with people who already have dog experience and are aware that they will get an active dog that needs a lot of exercise but also mental stimulation. Huskies also often have a strong prey drive. Huskies are very people-friendly dogs and want to be with their people all the time. Life in the house might still be new to Annette, and she will probably have to learn the entire dog ABC. Additionally, Annette is currently going through puberty, a time when everything is questioned, and her ears are often on the go. But it is only a phase, and with a lot of patience, love, and humor, this phase can be mastered together. Those who are ready to commit to Annette will surely be rewarded with a wonderful companion who goes through "fat and thin" with her people. Annette is looking forward to many adventures in nature, attending dog training classes, and a cozy spot in your home and heart. Annette travels neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated with her EU pet passport in her luggage. Stand: December 23.

Stand: 23.12.2024

About Annette

What life with Annette looks like

Annette is a large young adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An young adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Annette, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Annette?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Annette on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Annette if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Annette already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Annette isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Annette and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
