adoption requirements adoption process Now adopt this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Annie has found her home! Her story: Little Snugglemouse Annie is already waiting for her family in foster care in Germany. Annie loves to play and be with everyone. At the beginning, she is a bit reserved, but she warms up very quickly. When fully grown, Annie will be maximally medium-sized. At four months old, she is very small and still a lightweight. Annie is compatible with other dogs, knows cats, and is friendly to everyone. Currently, she lives together with her two brothers, Milky and Piet, at the foster home, and the three are always ready for adventures and nonsense, spreading good mood. The young female puppy is looking for people who will stand by her and also show understanding that everything has its time. Annie is still a very young female dog and must still learn according to her age. The dog 1×1 must be taught to her with a positively reinforcing training style – starting with house training, walking on a leash, sit, stay, come. Since she brings a pronounced play drive, you can use this to teach her with loving consistency over time. What you also shouldn't forget, puberty will also knock on the door. Our diligent and exemplary dog teenagers often forget what they have already learned. Bring a portion of patience, humor, and understanding, because just like with us humans, this time will also pass. Annie is microchipped, dewormed, and brings her EU Companion Animal Certificate. She can be visited at the foster home and looks forward to your inquiry. With a bit of luck, she can soon move into her new home and grow into a proud and happy female dog. We thank the namingsponsor Rahel, who chose Annie's name and thus gave her a unique identity. As of: 26.08.

Stand: 26.08.2024

About Annie

What life with Annie looks like

Annie is a puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Annie, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Annie?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Annie on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Annie if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Annie already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Annie isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Annie and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
