APRICOT

Female · Kitten · 3 months

Meet Apricot! This kitten is full of beans and can usually be found chasing her balls around or wrestling with her knitted mice. She is a smoochy girl who loves a head and chin rub; in between play sessions of course! Apricot is a sweet girl but can be easily worried and would be best suited living with a sensible older school aged child. If the home is calm and settled then she should be fine to settle into a quiet corner of the home with all he resources close by and plenty of cosy hiding places for her in case she does get worried. Once settled, Apricot will need outside access so she can run around and explore the outside world. If you have already completed our online rehoming form and would like to know more about Apricot, you can e-mail our rehoming team on () to register your interest. the cat you have contacted us about.

About APRICOT

What life with APRICOT looks like

APRICOT is a medium-sized puppy/kitten cat waiting at Battersea Dogs & Cats Home in London.

Kittens are tiny chaos engines for about six months and then mellow rapidly. They need two scheduled feedings, a litter box per cat plus one extra, and somewhere high to climb. Spay/neuter happens around six months — most shelters arrange this before adoption.

🇬🇧Adopting from United Kingdom

UK shelters work under the Pet Travel Scheme (post-Brexit, the EU pet passport is not valid; a UK Animal Health Certificate is required for travel into the EU). Most UK rescues focus on domestic placements but some work with EU partners.

Frequently asked

Adopting APRICOT, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about APRICOT?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Battersea Dogs & Cats Home handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw APRICOT on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt APRICOT if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Battersea Dogs & Cats Home will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. UK adopters: post-Brexit travel into the EU requires an Animal Health Certificate. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is APRICOT already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if APRICOT isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Battersea Dogs & Cats Home early rather than rehoming privately; they know APRICOT and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (EN). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
