Adopt Arabica

Mixed Breed · Male · Adult · 9 years

Arabica is looking for her future family Born around April 16, 2026, Arabica is an adorable little kitten with a gentle and affectionate temperament. Her mother, a very timid cat who couldn't tolerate captivity or human contact, had to be released to regain her freedom. Since then, Arabica and her siblings have grown up surrounded by attention, play, and tenderness, gradually learning to trust humans. At first, Arabica is rather observant, but she quickly becomes playful and affectionate once she feels comfortable. She enjoys both calm moments and the little sessions of chaos with her brothers and sisters. Like all kittens her age, she is still discovering the world: so there may be a few scratches or light nips during play. We would prefer that she goes with one of the other kittens so they can continue to grow up together and have a playmate and comfort companion. A secure outdoor space or a garden would be ideal when she is older so she can stretch her legs. (1 male and 3 females in the litter, to be confirmed by the veterinarian.) She is waiting for you in Waimes. Do you want to adopt her? Born around April 16, 2026, Arabica is an adorable little kitten with a gentle and affectionate temperament. About Arabica

What life with Arabica looks like

Arabica is a small adult mixed breed cat waiting at Animals Rescue Association in Liège.

An adult cat usually shows their personality within a week. Give them a quiet room with everything they need (food, water, litter, hiding spot) and let them choose when to explore. Don't force interaction — every cat decides for themselves when a new home counts as home.

🇧🇪Adopting from Belgium

Belgian shelters operate under regional law (Flanders, Wallonia, Brussels each have their own rules). All adoptions include the Eurochip, vaccinations, and a stewardship contract. Several Flemish shelters partner with Dutch and German rescue networks.

Frequently asked

Adopting Arabica, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Arabica?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Animals Rescue Association handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Arabica on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Arabica if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Animals Rescue Association will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Arabica already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most cats on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Arabica isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Animals Rescue Association early rather than rehoming privately; they know Arabica and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (FR). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
