Ares is a dog who has had good experiences with people and therefore can be difficult to handle in some situations. Currently, work is being done on basic obedience and acceptance; Ares still has a long way to go. He has a strong prey drive, and it takes strength to hold the leash when he detects something. Ares is compatible with female dogs and can also be rehomed as a second dog if the chemistry is right. Ares needs absolute secure and consistent handling. He can quickly become agitated and is then hard to calm down. Ares is currently muzzled, which he is familiar with and has no problem with. Ares can only be placed with people who have extensive dog experience and ideally experience with dogs of his breed. Under no circumstances will he be rehomed with a family that includes children.
