adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! Peace and quiet, little Ari… His story: 01445 Radebeul. Ari could travel to his foster home in late February and is waiting here for your visit! He was found with his 10 siblings near a kindergarten in Romania. Upon arriving at his foster home, Ari still needs some time. Slowly he is getting used to being part of a family, but is still hesitant. Quick movements make him suspicious – he prefers to hide. The chaos of the children is often still too much for him, and here he shows himself more shy and reserved. He strongly orientates himself towards the only dog of the foster family, and that works well, and then Ari becomes braver. Going out is not yet one of his favorite activities, but with a few persuasion techniques, it works. Also, dog encounters outside work well. For Ari, we wish for a quiet and stable home that gives him the time he needs. A rural home would be great, and a dog buddy who learns the rules of the new life together with him could be advantageous – but is not a must. Ari is just about 4.5 months old. Currently, he measures around 47 cm and weighs about 11 kg. He will certainly grow and probably become medium to large: Ari is looking for people who don’t expect anything from him at first and show him how a normal dog life works. He is still a baby and has a lot to learn. One or another mishap shouldn’t be held against him, and Ari should always be guided with a positive and reinforcing training style. He is looking forward to his new life with beautiful nature walks, many cuddle hours, and also a visit to the puppy school. Puppies should be with their parents as little as possible in the first year of life. Additionally, the more demanding puberty is approaching. The hormone chaos turns the lives of the little rascals upside down. They “forget” often everything they have learned so far and their ears are on high alert. Therefore, it is especially important in this phase to train consistently – but lovingly. And there is also good news: This phase will pass! Our cute Ari can be microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated for fleas to move into his home. He packs his EU pet passport into his bag and will be sought for a home for Ari – maybe by you? Many thanks Elisch A.! You have given Ari his name and thus an identity! Date: 18.03.

Vermittlungsvoraussetzungen Vermittlungsablauf Jetzt dieses Tier anfragen! Ruhe in Frieden, kleiner Ari… Vielen Dank Elisch A..! Stand: 18.03.2024

About Ari

What life with Ari looks like

Ari is a medium-sized puppy/kitten mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

Puppies need routine, gentle socialization, and roughly two short outings a day for the first year. The first six months are the formative window — house-training, leash work, and quiet exposure to traffic, other dogs, and unfamiliar people happen now or not at all. Expect early-morning wake-ups and a few months of chewing.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Ari, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Ari?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Ari on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Ari if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Ari already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Ari isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Ari and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
