adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Aria has found her home! Her story: The wonderful Aria with the fluffy, gray fur, captivates everyone with her loving nature. She is open and curious and shows herself to be compatible with all the dogs in her foster home. Unfortunately, she must leave her family for personal reasons. Aria, now named Paula, came to Germany in October 2024 and has already adapted to normal home life. She can stay alone well, is house-trained, and also travels comfortably in the car. She therefore shows herself to be very unproblematic here. Our loving dog mom Aria was brought to the public shelter in Bistrita, Romania, by the dog catchers along with her daughter Arielle, when her daughter was just over 4 weeks old. Aria had lovingly cared for and raised her daughter. Aria is slender and long-legged, about 58-60 cm tall, and weighs around 30 kg. She is approximately 6 years old. Currently, she has a slight excess weight and needs to lose a little bit. She shows herself to be extremely friendly and very sweet and compatible with people. She is always more quiet and unexcited. Aria wishes for people who will properly care for her and want to discover life with her. Whether dummy training, sniffing games, long walks in the forest, and long cuddle hours. Aria wants to finally lead a happy and well-deserved dog life. With her approximately 6 years, she is in the best dog age and is fit and active. The whole life still lies ahead of her, and she wants to make up for everything she has missed so far. Aria is neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and flea-treated. She brings an EU pet passport with her and can be adopted after a positive match. Who will fall in love with the beautiful female dog with the long, silvery fur and give her a well-cared-for forever home? Many thanks to Alexandra! You have given Aria her name and thus her identity. As of: 16.10.

Vielen Dank an Alexandra! Stand: 16.10.2025

About Aria

What life with Aria looks like

Aria is a large adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. A larger dog like this one needs daily off-leash time when possible — a fenced yard or regular access to safe walking trails. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aria, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aria?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aria on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aria if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aria already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aria isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aria and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
