Aria

Mixed Breed · Female · Adult · 8 years

adoption requirements adoption process Now request this animal! adoption requirements adoption process Aria has found her luck! Her story: Only by chance did she catch our attention at an animal shelter, and we were told about her and her roommates there. We knew immediately that we had to find a loving home for this sweet mouse under all circumstances. For 7 long years, she went unseen and in a dreary everyday life, without any attention or warmth, without the loving care she would have wished for in every moment. Despite this, Aria has maintained her loving and friendly nature and probably wished every second for a new life to begin. At around 8 years old, it seems that this is finally possible, and we are searching for a loving and quiet home for Aria, where she can arrive and spend her remaining years. She will not immediately master the everyday life in a household, who can blame her for that. But with lots of love and patience, she will surely learn quickly. Aria is about 30 cm in size. She gets along well with fellow animals, as she has spent all these years with them. At first a little shy, but once she realizes that people mean well with her, she warms up quickly. Aria needs to lose a little weight, the price for not moving much is a bit too much on the scale. But if she is allowed to play in the garden and take small walks with her people, that will quickly normalize. For Aria, we are searching for quiet empathetic people who can give her peace, care, lots of cuddle hours, and a whole lot of love. In return, you will receive loyalty and lots of snuggles. We wish for Aria an open-plan home without many stairs. A quiet environment without much chaos. Against an adoption fee of 500 Euros, who would like to open the door for our Aria to begin her new life and warm dog bed? Even a foster home would be the gateway to paradise for her. Stand: 25.02. This animal is vaccinated. This animal is microchipped.

Stand: 25.02.2025

About Aria

What life with Aria looks like

Aria is a medium-sized adult mixed breed dog waiting at Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. in München.

An adult dog fits most household rhythms once the first couple of weeks of adjustment pass. Two reasonable walks a day plus play time is usually enough. Plan a "decompression fortnight" — quiet routine, no visitors, no off-leash adventures — to let them settle.

🇩🇪Adopting from Germany

German rescues typically require an in-person home visit (Vorkontrolle) or detailed video home check before approving adoption. Animals leave the shelter sterilized, microchipped, and with a valid EU pet passport. Adoption fees usually fall between €250 and €450, covering veterinary preparation.

Frequently asked

Adopting Aria, answered.

How do I contact the shelter about Aria?
Use the phone, email, or website link in the sidebar of this page. Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. handles screening and the adoption contract directly — TailHarbor doesn't broker the conversation. When you reach out, mention you saw Aria on TailHarbor so they know which animal you're asking about.
Can I adopt Aria if I live in another country?
Yes, in most cases. Rescues across Europe routinely place animals abroad — Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. will tell you what they need (EU pet passport, rabies titer, transport coordination) and whether they handle transport themselves or refer you to a partner. Plan for an extra €100–€350 in transport costs depending on distance.
Is Aria already vetted, vaccinated, and chipped?
Most dogs on TailHarbor leave their shelter with sterilization, current vaccinations, microchip ID, and an EU pet passport included in the adoption fee. The vet status on this page reflects what the shelter has reported — ask them directly if you need details on specific vaccines, recent bloodwork, or chronic conditions.
What happens if Aria isn't the right fit?
Every reputable rescue accepts an animal back if the adoption genuinely doesn't work — that's part of the standard contract. Talk it through with Ein Herz für Streuner e.V. early rather than rehoming privately; they know Aria and can place them more successfully than a second-hand listing can.
Why does the description sometimes read awkwardly?
TailHarbor translates shelter descriptions into English from the source language (DE). Translation is imperfect — names of streets, donors, and shelter-specific terms occasionally slip through unidiomatically. For the cleanest read, click the source link to see the shelter's original page.
